Question 1

Is it free to post a job?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Posting a job on DoneIt is completely free. You only pay the worker directly when the work is done. DoneIt charges no booking or commission fee to customers.

Question 2

What does it cost to message one person directly?

Accepted Answer

One credit. Posting the job costs nothing and everyone covering your county can answer it, so the credit is only for going straight to one named person instead. Every new account starts with two credits. If that person declines, or nobody opens your message within 7 days, the credit goes back to your account automatically. Replying inside a conversation is always free.

Question 3

How many quotes will I receive?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your category and how many workers are active in your county. You'll be notified each time someone applies, and you can read their profile and message them before deciding. There's no obligation to accept any of them.

Question 4

What happens if I'm unhappy with the work?

Accepted Answer

Contact the worker first to raise the issue. If you can't resolve it between you, use the in-app report tool and our team will usually review the case within 48 hours.

Question 5

How long does my job stay live?

Accepted Answer

Jobs expire automatically after 90 days if nobody's been hired.

Question 6

Can I have multiple jobs active at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Customers can have up to 5 active jobs at the same time.

Question 7

How do I get verified?

Accepted Answer

Confirming your email address is required to use DoneIt. Phone and ID verification are optional and each adds a separate badge to your profile. Customers can see which ones you've completed, so finishing them makes you easier to trust.

Question 8

How do I apply for jobs?

Accepted Answer

Browse open jobs in your category and county, then tap "Apply" to submit your quote and a personal message. The customer reviews all applicants before choosing.

Question 9

Can I set my own prices?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You set your hourly rate or fixed price on your profile. You can also send a custom quote for each job you apply to.

Question 10

What does it cost to apply?

Accepted Answer

One credit per application, and nothing else: no commission on what you earn and no subscription. Credits are bought in packs, and if the job is closed or expires without ever being completed, your credit is returned automatically.

Question 11

Is there a fee to join?

Accepted Answer

No. Joining and setting up your profile is free.

Question 12

Are workers background checked?

Accepted Answer

No. We don't vet qualifications, insurance or criminal records, and we don't supervise the work. The agreement is directly between you and the worker. What we do give you is the information to judge for yourself: verification badges, reviews from completed jobs, and messaging before you commit. For anything involving your home, gas, or electrics, ask to see qualifications and insurance yourself.

Question 13

Is my phone number shared with workers?

Accepted Answer

No. Your contact details are never shared automatically. All communication happens through DoneIt's in-platform messaging, and you choose when or if to share your number.

Question 14

How are reviews verified?

Accepted Answer

Only customers who have completed a job can leave a review. This prevents fake reviews and ensures ratings reflect real experiences.

Question 15

What data do you store?

Accepted Answer

We store only what's necessary to run the platform. See our Privacy Policy for full details. You can request deletion of all your data at any time from Settings.
